Going live
Build and test with test keys. When you are ready for real shoppers, activate live mode for your store in Studio → Activate live mode, then swap pk_test_… / sk_test_… for live keys.
The live activation checklist
Section titled “The live activation checklist”Live keys can be created, and live origins served, only when every item is done. Studio shows the checklist with a link for each item.
| # | Item | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Verified domain | At least one verified domain on your organization, covering every live origin |
| 2 | Terms | The owner accepted the current Terms of Service and Data Processing Agreement |
| 3 | Billing details | Legal name, country and billing email (and a VAT ID if you are an EU business). Done automatically when you are billed through Shopify or have a contract with us |
| 4 | Payment method | Needed only on a paid plan. The free Starter plan does not need a card: it has a hard cap of 2,500 fit checks per month |
| 5 | Organization active | Your organization is not suspended |
Then press Activate live mode (owners and admins with the live.activate permission; you are asked to sign in again). It is recorded in your audit log.
Verify your domain
Section titled “Verify your domain”In Studio → Settings → Domains, add your domain and prove you control it with one of:
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| DNS TXT record (default) | Add _tryyoursize.<your domain> with the value tys-verify=<token> |
| Meta tag | Put <meta name="tryyoursize-verification" content="<token>"> on your home page (https://<your domain>/). For hosted shops without DNS access |
| Shopify | Automatic for your *.myshopify.com host and primary domain when you install the Shopify app |
- A verified apex domain (
brand.com) covershttps://brand.com,https://www.brand.comandhttps://*.brand.com. - A hostname can be verified by only one organization.
- Domains are checked again every week. After 3 failed checks in a row a domain lapses; its live origins keep working for 14 more days, then stop. Keep the TXT record or meta tag in place.
Billing
Section titled “Billing”- A fit check is one shopper seeing a size for one product, in live mode. The same shopper and product count once per 30 days. A changed body counts again.
- Test mode is never metered. Shoppers in an A/B holdout are never metered either: they see no element.
- A page view never starts a simulation. Server-side recommendations count like browser ones: a delivered size is a fit check.
- Starter is free with a hard cap of 2,500 fit checks per month and 100 published styles. Above the cap, the size guide hides and size answers are
unavailableuntil the next period; shoppers never see an error. Paid plans can set a budget cap. - Plans and prices: tryyoursize.com/#pricing. Shopify stores can be billed through Shopify.
Usage is in Studio → Settings → Usage; plan and invoices in Settings → Billing.
Go-live checklist for developers
Section titled “Go-live checklist for developers”- Replace test keys with live keys (publishable on the page, secret on the server). Keep test keys for your staging site.
- Register your production origins for live mode.
- Publish every garment you want live shoppers to see (live answers published versions only).
- Map every shop size in each product’s size map (publishing needs it).
- Add a live webhook endpoint if you use webhooks; endpoints are per mode.
- Check your Content Security Policy allows
